I´ve spotted 2 mistakes in this article, one is the surname Cerra, (Junipero Cerra) the correct spelling is Serra with an s. The other is that it says that Junipero was Catalan, and in fact he was born in Mallorca (I´ve looked it up on Google), so in fact he wasn´t really Catalan as he wasn´t born in Catalunya. But he would have spoken Catalan, and would have been part of the Catalan culture and history as the Balearic islands are part of what is know as the Catalan countries.

Please owner of the website, correct the spelling Serra, and maybe change or investigate the term “catalan”, if it needs changing.

I´m so pleased to see this article on this web page. It´s such a good news that bullfight has been banned in Catalonia, Barcelona in effect.

G’day Marc. Would you believe this is my second visit to Cataloniapress, and I find a comment from another Catalan from Brisbane ! It’s a small world indeed, mate. Anyway, I thought you might like to know that I have occasionally (and I stress occasionally) found books in Catalan at the “Little Bookshop Around The Corner” 34 Harriet Street, West End (just off Montague Road). It’s a small place but they have books you won’t find just about anywhere else in Brissie. Another local place you can try is Dymocks in the City. But of course the best way to get Cataloniapress’ books has to be as already suggested by Liz Castro. In fact I’ll be buying “What Catalans Want” for Kindle. Should be quite interesting. I already downloaded “Barcelona:Catalonia” by Matthew Tree last month, which I also recommend. Cheers.

Hi, this is a Catalan living in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. I got a lot of friends of mine here who I’d like to give some books about Catalonia but I don’t know how to achieve any as I haven’t find any link to buy the books of Catalonia Press on the Internet.

Can you tell me what I can do to achieve some books about Catalonia in English?
